The Luverne Police Department is investigating the Sunday morning burglary of The General Store in downtown Luverne.
Burglars gained access to the store by breaking a glass panel on the front of the store.
“They messed up our door and got glass all over our t-shirts. So, we can’t sell them anymore,” said Patty Bees, owner of the store. “We were blessed that they didn’t get much.”
Bees was pleased by the quick response of the Luverne Police Department. The break-in was discovered shortly after 6 a.m. By 6:10 a.m., investigators had called Bees.
“And they stayed with me all morning,” she added.
No one has been charged with the crime, but Bees said investigators were following several leads.
