To the editor:

We need our park back, Luverne. Our children went from a nice big park to a tiny one with torn down stuff. What are they doing with our taxes and why do they want more tax revenue when our children have nothing?

People wonder why our children are getting overweight and depressed. The children need to be outside. They have nothing here. Why haven’t they asked for help funding a park for all age groups.

There are many companies based in local Alabama. Please come to the next city council meeting and find out why or if they have asked for funding from the companies based here in local Alabama.

I hope they let us talk about it. I am going as a bystander, but many people want to know why they are not doing anything. Somebody said it was because of lawsuits and people getting hurt. But they could sue over falling at the ballpark. Are they closing it too? It doesn’t make sense. We used to have a nice park and now there is nothing.
