Opal Lowery Killough, 89, a resident of Greenville, died on July 17 at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held on July 20 at 3 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Gibbs officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on July 19 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Killough was preceded in death by her parents, Barnie and Bessie Lowery; son, Hayward Heath Killough, Jr.; brothers, James Alvin Lowery and Barnie Ralph Lowery; and sister, Velma Louise Lowery Boutwell. She is survived by her husband, Hayward Heath Killough, Sr.; son, Bobby Killough, Sr. (Shirley); daughter-in-law, Deborah Killough; grandchildren, Kim K. Hartley, Toni K. Kilpatrick, Bobby A Killough, Jr. (Laura) and Hayward Heath Killough, III (Felicia); great grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Kilpatrick, Isabelle K. Brooks, Jacob A. Killough, and Lily Killough; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Killough worked at Dan Rivers Mills for more than 40 years and Vanity Fair in Luverne for numerous years.
