Car strikes wild boar, kills passengers

A single-car crash Tuesday morning in Wilcox County claimed two lives.
Driver Camilla Allen, 48, of Pine Hill and passenger Ronnie Mitchell, 54, of Thomasville were killed when the 1995 Jeep Cherokee in which they were traveling struck a wild boar, left the roadway and overturned several times.
The crash occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Alabama 5 seven miles south of Catherine. Seat belts were not in use at the time of the crash.
Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
