Garden club spruces up park

The Sprig and Twig Garden Club of Georgiana partnered with the City of Georgiana on March 22 to assist in the beautification of the Hank Williams Park.
The club, under the direction of club president Janell Powell, planted 20 Knockout rose bushes and placed pine straw around 35 rose bushes planted by the club in 2013 at the park, which is located in downtown Georgiana adjacent to the Hank Williams Boyhood Home and Museum.
Participants included Janell Powell, Buddy Manning, Linda Luman, Gwen Humphrey, Sylvia Peterson, Belle Peavy and Vivian Taylor.
