Hollie Halford, daughter of Tanya Speir and Jerry Halford of Greenville, was named to the dean’s list at Sweet Briar College for outstanding academic achievement during the 2013 fall semester.

Halford is a junior majoring in studio art.

At the end of each fall and spring term, Sweet Briar College recognizes students who have shown outstanding ability and achievement during the semester. To make the list, students must earn a 3.5 grade point average with a minimum of 12 graded academic hours.

Sweet Briar College is a nationally recognized all-women’s liberal arts college near Lynchburg, Va.
