Lowndes deals Fort Dale first loss

Lowndes Academy dealt Fort Dale Academy its first loss of the 2014 season on Tuesday.
Just one day after the Eagles swept South Montgomery County Academy in a doubleheader to open the season, the Rebels topped the Eagles 11-6.
“We didn’t play very well,” said Fort Dale Academy head coach Josh Beverly.
James Burkett led the Eagles’ offensive charge with a 3-for-4 effort that included two doubles and an RBI.
Brady Clark was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and Drake Cabe and Austin Vickery were each 1-for-3.
Cabe had a triple and Vickery knocked in a run.
Fort Dale (2-1) will be back in action today when it plays host to Eastwood Christian School and Hooper Academy. The Eagles are scheduled to play at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
