The Butler County School System will be closed Wednesday due to inclement weather.

Butler County is being blanketed by a winter storm that has brought a mix of freezing rain and snow to the area.

School officials will make a determination about Thursday’s schedule on Wednesday.

Fort Dale Academy will also be closed Wednesday.

The school announced via its Facebook page that unless students and parents are otherwise notified, school will resume on its regular schedule Thursday.
