SIMS, Mr. Michael Brock, 32, a resident of Luverne, AL, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. Funeral services were held at 11am on Wednesday, January, 22, 2014 at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Butts officiating. Interment followed at Live Oak Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne, AL directing. Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mixon Carroll Sims and grandmother, Ramona Morgan King. He is survived by his parents, Michael Carroll Sims and Elaine King (Alexander) Adams; two children, Jon Mixon Sims and Madaline Brooke Sims; two sisters, Sommer Sims (Seth) Watson and Lauren Sims (Stallion) Sasser;  one brother, Cody Alexander Adams; and his grandparents, Dot Sims (Terry) Sport and Walter Barnett (Edna) King. Active pallbearers were Buck Jones, Kenny Jones, Sims Wingard, William Wingard, Chris Stephens, Brett Stephens, Keith Stephens, and Lorenzo Adams.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alabama Baptist Children’s Home, 1302 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL 36301.
