When birthdays roll around, family and friends won’t have to wonder what to buy and they can buy toys locally.

Paisley’s Petals in downtown Luverne is expanding its merchandise to include the Melissa & Doug line.

Owners Justin and Alexis Bradley were looking for something new to add to their store and their solution – birthday registry for kids.

“It works just like a bridal registry,” Alexis Bradley said. “Kids get to register their name and a picture a month or two before their birthday and they get to pick out what they want.”

Toys range from arts and crafts, to classic toys, to stuffed animals and puzzles and pajamas.

“Nearly everything can be personalized,” Alexis Bradley said. “And it only take two days to ship.”

Melissa & Doug is celebrating its 25^th anniversary this year.

“It’s a brand people know,” she said. “And most things are inexpensive.”

In changing up things, the store has expanded hours of operation, which are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The store offers a 30-day layaway program, as well.
