OWENS, Mr. Kenneth, 62, a resident of Brantley died Wednesday  January 8, 2014. Funeral services will 11 am Saturday January 11, 2014 at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Defee  officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his father, Oneal Owens. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Anniece Whittington Owens; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny Wayne and Stephanie Owens; four grandchildren, Hunter Lee Owens, Hayley Mae Owens, Kim Lindsey and Shane Lindsey; his mother, Dollie Reeves Owens; and a sister, Clemmie (Jim) Williams. Active pallbearers will be Charles Mount, Shelby Vickery, Billy Brazell, Steve Baggett, Marty Wacaster and Dusty Jordan. The family will receive friends at the Owens residence after 1 pm Friday.
