The Front Porch Christmas celebration will have to wait a few more days thanks to showers and thunderstorms expected to make their way through the area on Saturday.
Brantley Town Administrator Phillip Moseley told the Journal on Wednesday that the parade, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled for Monday, at 6:30 p.m.
“We realize this may not be the best fit for everyone’s schedule,” he said. “But it’s really the best alternative with other local activities scheduled the rest of the week.”
Moseley said those interested in participating in the parade should line up at Brantley School at 6 p.m.
“Afterward, we’ll have singing and all the other activities scheduled,” he said. “Any vendors interested in setting up, can just show up at the municipal complex.”
Jingle Bell Trot, sponsored by Brantley United Methodist Church is still at go for Saturday. The event will kick off at 8 a.m.
