Madelyn Sybil Tobias, 98, a resident of Bishopville, S.C., formerly of Fairhope, Ala., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, with Rev. Mike Ray officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel from noon until 12:45 p.m. Ms. Tobias is survived by her sister, Betty (Leon) Wishum, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; nieces, Teresa Abbott, Enigma, Ga., Vicki Amerson, Bishopville, S.C., and Susan Tobias, Lafayette, Colo.; nephews, Gene Wishum, Panama City, Fla., and Thomas Tobias, Fairhope, Ala.; five great-nephews, and eight great-great nieces and nephews.
