Jim Henry Powell, 80, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Newton officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels directing.

Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Cecil Powell, Hoover Powell, and Hazel Minor.  He is survived by his children, Teresa McKinnon (Charlie) of Prattville, Ala., Leisa Lutz of Prattville, Ala., and Allen Powell (Tina) Greenville, Ala.; grandchildren, Arin Taylor, Cheyenne Lutz, and Jarod Powell; sisters, Myrlean Hitson and Betty Irvin (Ben); brothers Monroe Powell (Pearl), Bill Powell (Janice),  I.V. Powell, and Eligh Hugh Powell (Barbara); and many nieces and nephews.
