Independence Day is just days away and local cities and towns have plenty planned.

Here’s what’s going on:

• July 3: The city of Luverne will hold its annual fireworks spectacular at dusk at EL Turner Park.

• July 4: An Independence Day parade will be held in Rutledge at 10 a.m.

• July 4: The town of Brantley will hold a parade at 9 a.m., starting at the school.

• July 4: The town of Glenwood will hold a celebration, beginning at 10 a.m., at the flowing well.

• July 4: The town of Petrey will hold a celebration with fireworks at dark. The Benton Brothers will play shortly after 5:30 p.m.
