MRS. MARY LISSIE PROVITT SMITH

Mrs. Mary Lissie Provitt Smith was born April 30, 1922 in Luverne, to the late Arlissie Dukes and Frank Ball.  Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and caretaker of the family and loved by all died May 31, 2013 in Powder Springs, GA. She was born in Luverne, Alabama and grew up in the Rutledge community. She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Provitt and James Smith. Two daughters, Annie Lois provitt and Elaine Bryant. One son, John Provitt, one grandson, Michael Provitt and nine brothers and sisters.  Mary was a member of Thankful Aplastic Deliverance Temple of Atlanta, GA. She leaves to hold in their heart seven daughters:  Eula (Ned) Salter, Marietta, GA, Aberdean Johnson, Acworth, GA, Earnestine (Joe) Dozier, Greenville, AL, Dr. Ezella (Dr. Earnest) Parker, Melbourne, FL,  Nellie Seawood, Marietta, GA, Beverly (Paul) Maddery, Columbus, OH, and Patricia Smith, Youngstown, OH. Three sons, Robert (Ann) Provitt, Warren, OH, Tester (Mary) Provitt, Austell, GA, Charles (Shirley) Provitt, Phoenix, AZ.  Three sisters, Annie (Ezar) Shine, Ruby Ball, Catherine (Benjamin) McClain and one brother Leon Ball all of Georgiana, AL. Forty Grandchildren, Seventy five great grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The final service in honor of our dear Mother (Big Mama) (Mother Mary L. Smith) will be at 1:00 PM, on 14 June 2013 at the Saint Paul Church of God in Christ, 2100 Colonial SE, Warren, Ohio 44484, 330-369-8501.
