Hancock, Burdg to wed June 1

Mr. and Mrs. David Sanders Hancock of Greenville, Alabama are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Maryanne Malone Hancock to Taylor O’Neal Burdg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boggis Burdg of Auburn, Alabama.
Miss Hancock is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcomb Daniel Peevy of Andalusia, Alabama, and Mrs. Charles Sanders Hancock and the late Dr. Hancock of Greenville, Alabama.
She is a 2006 graduate of Fort Dale Academy and graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. She received her Masters of Communication Disorders in 2011 from Auburn University. Miss Hancock was a member of Phi Mu social sorority and is currently employed as a speech-language pathologist by the Lowndes County Public School system.
Mr. Burdg is the grandson of Mrs. Emmett O’Neal Stacey and the late Mr. Stacey of Frisco City, Alabama, and Mrs. George Weaver Burdg and the late Mr. Burdg of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
He is a 2004 graduate of Auburn High School and a 2009 graduate of Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Biosystems Engineering. He is currently employed as a region forester by Packaging Corporation of America in Counce, Tennessee.
The wedding will take place on June 1, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Greenville.
