McKenzie School has had no problem scoring runs.
In their last two games, the Tigers have plated a combined 17 runs.
The problem is the Tigers have surrendered 39 runs in the last two games.
McKenzie dropped a 29-11 decision to Highland Home High School on March 8 and a 10-6 decision to Hillcrest High School on Thursday.
“Against Highland Home we hit the ball OK, but we made too many errors and didn’t pitch too well,” McKenzie head coach Tony Norris said.
“When you don’t do those things you’re going to get beat most of the time.”
The loss to Hillcrest marked the first time this season that the Tigers have dropped back-to-back games.
“We’ve had too many errors and too many strikeouts,” Norris said.
McKenzie is now 3-4 on the season.
The Tigers will be back in action on Tuesday when they play host to J.U. Blacksher High School. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
The McKenzie softball team dropped a 5-3 decision to Highland Home, but rebounded to defeat Hillcrest 18-0.
