Betty Sue Hunt Thompson

Mrs. Betty Sue Hunt Thompson, 84, of LaGrange, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Thompson was born July 1, 1928 in West Point, Ga., the daughter of the late George Frank Hunt and Hattie Mae Lanier Hunt.  She was a member of Loyd Presbyterian Church and the Pine Needle Garden Club. She loved working with flowers, reading, needlework, and painting.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Thompson Robertson and John Robertson, of Greenville, Ala., Laura Thompson Lamb and Richard “Skip” Lamb, of LaGrange; grandchildren, Andrew Lanier Robertson, Adam Hunt (Kate) Robertson, Robert Brett (Angela) Lamb, Maggie Lamb (Tim) Banks, and Elliott Richard (Kerron) Lamb; great grandchildren, Ethan Hunt Robertson, John Evan Robertson, and Eli Tillman Banks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Tillman Thompson, and a sister, Doris Hambrick.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Loyd Presbyterian Church with Dr. Rix Threadgill officiating. Interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Mrs. Betty H. Thompson to Loyd Presbyterian Church, 550 Upper Glass Bridge Road, LaGrange, Georgia 30240.
