Georgiana School freshman Richard Boggan scored 18 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Panthers to a 49-46 win over J.F. Shields High School in their Class 1A, Area 3 opener on Jan. 4.

Senior Justin Oikle and sophomore Devin McMeans chipped in 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

J.F. Shields was led by Raedameon McCrearu’s 16 points.
