The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar on health care reform Jan. 29.
Dan Sinas, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the human resources field and holds a master’s degree in labor relations, will lead the seminar.
Sinas will address the new requirements employers will face under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
PPACA is aimed primarily at decreasing the number of uninsured Americans and reducing the overall costs of health care. It provides a number of mechanisms — including mandates, subsidies, and tax credits — to employers and individuals in order to increase the coverage rate.
The “Understanding Health Care Reform” seminar will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. It will be held at the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The cost to attend is $10 and includes lunch.
The seminar is limited to 30 people and members of the Chamber of Commerce will be given priority.
