Norman Timothy “Tim” Nix, 61, of Auburn passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Bethany House. Mr. Nix was born Jan. 4, 1951, in Greenville where he graduated from Greenville High School. He was a graduate of Auburn University and had lived in Auburn for the past several years.

Mr. Nix was preceded in death by his parents, Norman B. and Ruby Pearl Nix of Greenville; daughter, Jana Nix; and brother, Paul Nix.

Survivors include two brothers, Mike Nix of Auburn; Gordon (Marjorie) Nix of Buford, Ga.; sister-in-law, Ms. Gwen Nix of Auburn; nieces and nephews, Michael Nix, Megan Nix (Robert) Nissen, Paula Nix (Mike) Hooks, Gary (Mary Katherine) Nix, David Nix, Karen Nix, and Jenny Nix.

Visitation is Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.  A private graveside will be held Friday at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Bethany House 1171 Gatewood Dr. Building 100 Auburn, AL 36830.
