The Butler County Humane Society will host “Bark In The Park” Sunday.
The annual event, which serves as a fundraiser for the BCHS, will be held at Confederate Park in downtown Greenville and will feature contests for cutest dog, smallest dog, ugliest dog, biggest dog and best-dressed dog. The cost to enter a contest is $5.
There will also be a walkathon, food and live music.
Musical entertainment includes Cleve Poole, Suanne Lewis, Caleb Luckie and Renny McNaughton.
Santa Claus will also be on hand to take pictures with the pooches. Pictures will be available for purchase for $10.
“This is going to be the biggest and the best yet,” event organizer Kimberly Matthews said. “We’ve never had live music or served food. It’s always just been the pet parade, so we’re really excited about this year’s event.”
“Bark In The Park” starts at 1 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. For more information contact Matthews at (334) 437-2150.
