Freddie L. Chambers Sr.

Mr. Freddie L. Chambers Sr. was born on Aug. 11, 1935 to the late Charlie and Ethel Golston Chambers.
He united with the Union Baptist Church at a early age where he later became a Deacon and served thirty-one years. He served as President and Director of the Seven Shape Singing Convention.
He was preceded in death by (2) sisters and (3) brothers.
Early in life he met and married Emma Thompson to this union (4) children were born Calvin, Alfred, Janet, and Fred Jr.
After the passing of his first wife he married Catherine Cook to this union one child was born Loretta.
In 1987 he married Ethel V. Knight.
He departed this life Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.
He leaves to cherished his memories a wife of (25) years Ethel V. Chambers, (5) daughters, Janet (Terry) Williams, Greenville, Ala.; Valencia Carter, Virginia Beach, Va.; Loretta Chambers, Greenville, Ala.; Vickie (Bruce) Lawson, Birmingham, Ala.; Valeria Knight, San Antonio, Texas; Glory Mallory and Dianne Robinson, both of Greenville, Ala.; (5) sons Calvin (Glenda) Chambers, Macon, Ga.; Alfred (Marcia) Chambers Sr., Fayetteville, N.C.; Freddie (Leticia) Jr., Montgomery, Ala.; Tommy Lee Frost, San Antonio, Texas; and Timothy Knight, Greenville, Ala.; sister, Mary Johnson, Georgiana, Ala.; brother, J. C. (Jean) Chambers, Austin, Texas; “his boy” Lakendrick “Kennyboy” Knight, San Antonio, Texas, (31) grandchildren, (38) great grandchildren, (6) sisters-in-law, (6) brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
