Fort Dale cruises to win over Hooper

Fort Dale Academy’s junior varsity topped Hooper Academy 14-2 on Tuesday night.
Fort Dale scored first late in the first quarter after a one-yard run by quarterback Austin Vickery that was capped off by a successful two-point conversation by Maurlan Dickerson.
However, an high snap on an FDA punt just before the end of the first half gave Hooper two points on a safety.
With 1:40 left on the clock in the third quarter, Dickerson broke free for 62-yard scamper that ended in the end zone.
Dickson had 18 carries for 135 yards and Vickery completed four passes for 54 yards.
The leading tacklers were Cody Parker and Kenny Harden, Jr. with five tackles each.
Jake Gillem had an interception and Daniel McKeown had a fumble recovery.
Fort Dale will face off against Macon East at home on Tuesday.
The termites will begin playing at 5 p.m. Pee-wee and junior varsity action will follow.
