An Andalusia man has been arrested and charged with capital murder for the death of a Butler County man.
Shelton L. Foster, 59, is accused of murdering 48-year-old Donnie Earl Bone in an area off Old Drag Strip Road on Thursday.
A hunter found Bone’s body under a tarp shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday. Law enforcement struggled to identify the body until Bone’s family reported him missing around 3 a.m. Friday morning.
Police are still awaiting autopsy results before releasing how Bone was killed; however, Covington County Sheriff Dennis Meeks said previously the incident “was something that happened between two people.”
Online databases list Foster as the owner of Cobra & Mystery LLC., the site where investigators found Bone’s truck abandoned early Friday morning.
Foster could face the death penalty, or life in prison, if convicted of the Class A felony.
He is currently being held in the Covington County Jail without bond.
