Bryan Reynolds and Jerry Myers will face off in a runoff election for the District 1 seat on the Greenville City Council.

Reynolds received 144 votes, while Myers tallied 124 votes. A candidate needed 168 votes to win without a runoff.

Keith Gibson garnered 66 votes in Tuesday’s election.

The runoff is set for Oct. 9.

There were no other races on the ballot in Greenville.
