On Tuesday July 31, 2012, The Lord called his beloved child, Mollie Holston, home to take her rest. She was born on April 9, 1918 to the union of Irving and Maggie (Ewing) Mathis. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

She was married to the late Lester Holston Sr. on November 25, 1936. To this union eight children were born. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Willie Mae Daniel, Lenita Vyonne Davison, two grandchildren Fern Daniel Harden, Michael Allen; two brothers, Turner Mathis, and Willie Gene Mathis.

Cherishing her memories always and forever are: five daughters, Ollie Soward (Horace), Loganville, Ga.; Dorothy Francis (John), Bridgeville, Del.; Annie Allen (William), Snellville, Ga.; Fannie Rhodes (Harold), Daytona Beach, Fla.; Betty Holston; Auburndale, Fla.; one son, Lester Holston (Valeria), Montgomery, Ala.; step-daughter, Johnnie Dillard, Greenville, Ala. and  sister-in-law, Beulah Mae Mathis, Chicago, Ill.. Her grandchildren are Efren Daniel, the grandson she raised, (Serita); Priscilla Fields (Greg); Sabrina Bryant (James); Kochina Francis, Kevin Francis, Fredrick Davison (Bennie-Nell); Mollie Marshell Thomas (Don); Katina Goldsmith (Curtis); April Francis, Derek Francis (Diane); Sheila Patterson (Clarence); Donna Dozier, Deneen Evans, Kimberly Lovett, Adria Davis (Walter); Delia Cheatham (Anthony); Ava Brown (Damon); Valencia Flakes (Robert); Vincent Percy (April) Lester Holston II (Shuireaka); Ruby Skyla Holston and Megan Holston. Her great grandchildren are Jasmine Harden, Brittany Harden, Kelcius Savage, Jasmine Fields, Austin Fields, Arron Fields, Benjamin Patterson, Alexander Patterson, Disiree Duboise, Jullian Evans, Ariel Evans, Hannah Evans, Gabriella Evans, Derek Davis II, Lavenda Davis, Takera Francis, Tireq Francis, Jawuan Francis, T.
