Mr. and Mrs. Larry Laton Mathews of Georgiana, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Elizabeth Mathews to Tyler Andrew Lowe, son of Mrs. Michael Smith of Montgomery, Ala., and Mr. Conley Lowe of Georgiana, Ala.

Miss Mathews is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Mathews and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nichols, all of Georgiana, Ala. She is a 2009 graduate of Fort Dale Academy. She has attended Troy University for the past two years and will attend nursing school at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Ala.

Mr. Lowe is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lowe and Mrs. Willene Josey, all of Georgiana, Ala., and the late Hubert Josey of Red Level, Ala. He is a 2007 graduate of Fort Dale Academy. He served with the United State Coast Guard for four years and is currently employed with CSX Transportation of Birmingham, Ala.

The wedding will take place June 9 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Georgiana, Ala.
