Abbott Marie Jones has been named to the Alabama Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars.

Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor. The Rising Star list is published nationwide in Super Lawyers magazines and in leading city and regional publications. Super Lawyers is a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and personal achievement.

Jones is an associate with Christian & Small, LLP, a 42-lawyer firm in Birmingham. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Mary Frances Jones (Greenville) and Betty Jordan (Leeds, Ala.), and the daughter of Anita Jordan Jones (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) and Claude and Amy Jones (Phoenix, Ariz.).
