City of Georgiana Mayor Mike Middleton signed a proclamation on Monday proclaiming the week of April 23-27 as the Week of the Young Child in Georgiana. The proclamation, which was signed at a breakfast for the parents of children involved in the Georgiana Head Start program, is meant to “call attention to the need for high quality early childhood services for all children and families within our community.” Pictured are Middleton and Georgiana Head Start Center Director Olene Jones.
