Fort Dale Academy breezed to a 40-19 win against Northside Methodist Academy Monday night in Dothan.

The Lady Eagles (3-5, 1-0 Class AAA, Region 1, Area 1) held the Lady Knights to just 12.5 percent shooting from the field and forced 25 turnovers to secure their first area win of the season.

Anne Matthews paced Fort Dale with 10 points, while  Mary Sanford Perdue scored eight points and Barrett Leverette scored seven.

 

CCA 44, FDA 42

Crenshaw Christian Academy edged Fort Dale 44-42 in overtime Saturday night.

The Lady Cougars outpaced Fort Dale 10-8 in the extra period to complete the come-from-behind victory.

Leverette led the Lady Eagles with nine points. Caroline Snellgrove added eight points in the loss.

 

LSA 59, FDA 26

Lee-Scott Academy cruised to a 59-26 win against Fort Dale on Friday.

Matthews and Perdue led Fort Dale’s scoring attack with 10 points and eight points, respectively.

Fort Dale will be back in action Friday when it hosts the FDA Christmas Tournament.

Morgan Academy, Sparta Academy and Escambia Academy will be participating in the tournament.

Fort Dale will face Morgan at 5 p.m.
