Oneonta High School defensive back Alvin Scott intercepts a pass during the Redskins’ 49-34 victory against Cleburne County High School earlier this season. Scott had helped lead Oneonta to a 12-2 record and a berth in the Class 4A state championship game Friday at 11 a.m. against undefeated Jackson High School. Scott is the grandson of Annie Rudolph and Pearlie Scott and the great-grandson of Sarah Steele, all of Greenville. He attended school in Greenville until the fourth grade. The junior standout has already received letters of interest from Alabama, Southern Miss, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Nebraska.
