Mr. Norris Lamar Walden of Daleville, AL passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at the family residence. He was 78.

Funeral services were at 2 pm Wednesday, October 19 at Midway Baptist Church with Dr. Culan Davis officiating.

The body will be placed into the church one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery in Clayhatchee.

The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home Tuesday, October 18 from 6 until 8 pm.

Mr. Walden was born November 28, 1932 in Dale County, AL to the late Willie Glenn and Bonnie Parker Walden.

He was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jewel Walden, Daleville; 2 daughters, Rose Walden Wise (Art), Luverne, AL and Treva Walden, Sag Harbor, NY; step daughter, Tina Goodson Brown (Steve), Cumming, GA; 1 sister, Peggy Jeanelle Walden, Daleville; grandchildren, Jasmine and Mack Wise; step grandchildren, Sara Brown and Lindsey Winters; step great-grandchildren, Caleb and Hannah.
