Patty Vaughan has joined Greenville Newspapers LLC as a reporter and Camellia Magazine Coordinator.
Vaughan, originally from Atlanta, Ga., graduated from The University of Alabama in May with a degree in journalism.
During her time at Alabama, she worked as a reporter for two years and an assistant news editor at the school paper, The Crimson White. Vaughan also interned as a news reporter at The Tuscaloosa News for one year.
In a family of six, she is the only girl with three brothers: Chris, 26, Andrew, 25, and Timothy, 18.
“It’s great to be working right out of a college in a field that I’ve always had a passion for,” Vaughan said. “The community has been more than welcoming, and I can’t wait to get more involved.”
“Patty will do a great job here,” managing editor Andy Brown said. “We are excited about what she brings to Greenville Newspapers LLC and our community.”
