City Council reschedules meeting

The Greenville City Council voted at its Monday meeting to reschedule its June 27 meeting to June 20 to accommodate travel plans for council members.
The council also granted a resolution to allow the Short Street Dollar General and Butler Square Dollar General stores to obtain a retail beer and table wine off-premises license, giving the stores the ability to start selling beer and wine.
The council also approved:
-Resolution 2010-34, Amendment to the 2010-11 FY General Fund Budget
-Resolution 2010-35, Hwashin Drainage Grant
-Resolution 2010-38 and 2010-39, Amendments to planned improvements at the Mac Crenshaw Memorial Airport
– Expenditures, $13,990 for Correctional Facility Health Care Bill; $1,500 to John F. Daughtry Engineering; $5,700 for a utility vehicle for Sherling Lake; $7,400 to install a new A/C unit at Beeland Park Recreation Center; $4,247 for 14 new 2-way radios; $1,269.87 for a new two-way radio base station; $1,606.16 to refill postage and $7,415 to go towards Municipal Workers Compensation Fund, Inc.
