Dozier Baptist Church is collecting items for the tornado victims of north Alabama this week, May 2-6.

Items may be dropped off at the Dozier Baptist Church, 253 School St. in Dozier, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. or at Performance Quick Change (attention Greg Hammett) on Highway 29 north in Andalusia between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Items may also be dropped off at the First National Bank of Dozier (attention Phyllis Ham or Janice Adams), during banking hours this week.

Items collected will be taken to help in the relief efforts in Hackleburg and the surrounding area.

Suggested items needed are bottled water, diapers, baby food, canned foods and manual can openers, ready-to-eat meals, personal hygiene products, batteries, blankets, sports drinks, power bars, cleaning supplies, paper plates, plastic forks and spoons, paper towels and individually wrapped snacks.
