Scott Monroe Cone, 45, a resident of Prattville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2011. A memorial service with full military honors will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. from Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Mobley and Reverend David Mullins officiating. Scott honorably served his country as a 24-year veteran in the U.S. Air Force, assigned to the Alabama Air National Guard, 187th Fighter Wing, Dannelly Field. He served four combat tours in Southwest Asis in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mike and Bertha Cone, Monroe and Bertie Tucker. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Woods Cone; one son, Phillip Scott Cone; Ryan Roberts and Lauren Roberts; parents, Gene and Pat Cone, Charles and Brenda McCormick; brothers, Mike (Connie) Cone and Jason (Andria) McCormick; sisters, Karen (Rowdy) Meadows, Kristy (Bill) Myers and Emily Bowers; numerous friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
