The House of God Church on 112 Lincoln Street will present its second annual Spring Musical on Saturday, March 26 at 6 p.m.
“It’s going to be an evening of praise, song and worship,” said church member and musician Jeddo Bell. “We’re looking to renew our faith and spirit with Christ. This is an effort to support the church and its outreach program.”
Emcee will be Laketa Patterson of Greenville. Pastor Elder Calvin Crenshaw Sr. will also help lead the program. Expected guests include musicians and singers from Pensacola, Fla., Montgomery, Greenville and the surrounding area.
Leading the music will be the House of God Church’s own band, including Bell (organist), Calvin Crenshaw Jr, (keyboard), Reginald Johnson (drums and steel guitar), Tiffany Thomas (drums), Josh Works (drums and guitar), and Anthony Allen (guitar).
“This group has played together for about five years now,” said Bell of his fellow musicians. “We work very well together. There’s a camaraderie here that’s second to none.”
The public is invited to participate, said Bell.
