A chance to enjoy good food and fun on a gala night out with fellow animal lovers arrives this weekend in the Camellia City.
The Butler County Humane Society hosts its Second Annual Dog-U-Tante Ball and Cat-Sino Night this Saturday, March 5 at Polka-Dots Café in downtown Greenville.
The fundraiser kicks off at 6 p.m. with heavy hors d’oeuvres and libations, followed at 6:30 p.m. by the parade of Dogutantes all dressed up and ready for adoption to a “fur-ever” home.
At 7 p.m. a night of blackjack, roulette and easy gaming follows—and don’t worry, it’s all perfectly legal, folks.
“You’ll win Dogutante Dollars you can cash in when you bid on some of the wonderful items donated for our Live Auction,” said Herbert Morton, BCHS president.
The live auction kicks off at 9 p.m. A silent auction will also be held that night with artwork, fashion accessories, home décor and more offered up for bidding.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the planned Second Chance Shelter to provide healthy, adoptable homeless animals in Butler County another viable option to find a permanent home.
Dress for the evening is cocktail attire/coat and tie.
Tickets are $40 per person and are still available by contacting Meredith Mann at 382-2758.
“If you have other plans but still want to support this worthy cause, monetary donations are always welcome,” said Morton.
