A single-vehicle crash Sunday night in Butler County claimed the life of a Minter man.

The crash occurred at 9 p.m. on County Road 11 approximately ten miles north of Forest Home.  John William McNaughton, 67, of Minter, was killed when the 2008 Dodge he was driving struck a deer, left the roadway and struck a tree. Caldwell was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
