Anthony Tyson

Funeral services for Mr. Anthony Tyson, whose sunrise was March 14, 1958 and whose sunset was January 2, 2011, were held on Saturday, Jan. 8 at the House of God in Greenville, James Herbert Funeral Home directing. Officiating was Rev. Calvin Crenshaw. Interment was at Magnolia Cemetery.
Anthony Tyson was born to the late Tommy and Vergie Tyson in Greenville. He departed this life at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Anthony confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Ida Baptist Church in Greenville.
Anthony was educated in the Butler County School System and graduated from Greenville High School in 1977. He began his career with Jackson Hospital in Montgomery in January of 1979 and served as a dedicated employee until his death.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Kathy D. Warren on Feb. 14, 2001 and renewed their vows of undying love on Dec. 28, 2010.
Anthony was preceded in death by his twin sons, Taylor Lee and Tyler Connell Tyson, his father Tommy L. Tyson, his grandparents John and Hattie Williams, his brother Lee L. Hamilton (Zelda) of Birmingham.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Kathy D. Tyson, and daughter Katelyn Tyson of Montgomery, daughter Shakeela Rose of Greenville, son Anthony (Sharlet) Tyson Jr. of Montgomery, and stepsons Brandon J. and Denzell Robinson of Montgomery, sister Gwendolyn Tyson of Greenville, brothers Tommy L. (Jewel) Tyson, Michael R. (Betty) Tyson, Joe Tyson, Thorus (Jackie) Tyson and McCarthy Tyson, all of Greenville. He also leaves with fond memories five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
