Georgiana Panthers pick up seventh straight win

The Georgiana Panthers picked up their seventh straight win after a last-second win over Montgomery-Catholic. Georgiana won the semifinal match 53 – 49 and will play LAMP Thursday for the championship in the 13th annual Red Level Christmas Tournament.
With ten seconds left on the clock, Georgiana gained possession of the ball. Montgomery-Catholic fouled Ethan Hartley, who picked up both free throws for the lead.
Montgomery-Catholic went on a fast break, making a three-point attempt with 3 seconds left, but the shot missed. Montgomery again fouled Georgiana, allowing them to pick up two more free throws for the win.
Panther Keon Binion had the hot hands for the night, picking up 14 points total. Adrian Paige and Adrian Rich each picked up 11 each.
This win brings Georgiana’s record to 13-3.
