Dr. Roger Harold Smith

Smith, Dr. Roger Harold, 56, a resident of Greenville, AL, passed away at his residence after an almost year long battle with cancer. He was a valuable and entertaining member of our community who has served many in need. He will be greatly missed. Dr. Smith was a graduate of Tupelo High School in Tupelo, MS, had a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (1979) from the University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS and a graduate of the University of Heath Sciences of Osteopathic Medicine (1983), Kansas City, MO. Dr. Smith was a veteran having served in the U. S. Navy.
A memorial service was held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Mr. David Norrell, Mr. Brandon Sellers, Dr. Duane Williams, Dr. Bill Thomas and Merrill Culverhouse officiating. Dr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents Wilburn Harold and Merle Rogers Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Leah Wilson (Daniel) of Jackson, MS, son, Brett Smith of Tupelo, MS, granddaughter, Kate Wilson of Jackson, MS, sister, Martha Lynn S. Tubb of Columbus, GA, 2 nephews, Yale Scott of League City, TX and Thor R. Scott of Atlanta, GA and 3 great-nieces, Taylor Scott, Alyssa Scott and Brooke Scott of Atlanta, GA.
