Greenville police have made four arrests in connection with the burglary Wednesday morning of a convenience store.
Suspects arrested were Kenyatter Jenkins, 18, of Greenville, Jameson Harris, 20, of Fort Deposit, and Keon Jenkins, 22, of Montgomery. A juvenile suspect was also arrested, then released to his parents, said GPD spokesperson Lt. Anthony Barganier.
Barganier said officers responded to a burglary call at MAA’s Mini Mart on Aztec Rd. at 12:50 a.m. and found the front door window of the store broken out. The officers arrested two suspects on the scene and, after further investigation, two more suspects were arrested within five ours of the initial call, said Barganier.
The suspects were all charged with burglary, 3rd. An estimated $600 in property and merchandise was recovered.
Barganier said the Butler County Sheriff’s Office assisted the GPD with the investigation. He said the burglary might be connected with other burglaries in the city and county and the investigation is still ongoing.
In an unrelated crime, an air conditioner was reported stolen at 108 Beeland St. on Tuesday. The air conditioner was later recovered, but damaged. Two juveniles were arrested by police, then released into the custody of their parents, said Barganier.
