Food Feature: Arby’s brings the big bread

I’ve always avoided Arby’s until payday. It always seems to like you need a big bill in order to really enjoy their deli and Market Fresh sandwiches (but it seems that way with anything on the menu). Sometimes, though, you just need a fresh-tasting, good, quality sandwich.
That’s what I had Tuesday. A Market Fresh Turkey and Swiss. In my case, I prefer to let the Arby’s website speak for me: “Oven roasted turkey with ripe tomatoes, Swiss cheese, green leaf lettuce, thinly sliced red onions, mayo and spicy brown honey mustard all on thick sliced honey wheat bread.”
Yep. That pretty much sounds like it. Coupled with an order of Arby’s famous curly fries and a Diet Pepsi.
First of all, the sandwich was a bit big for me. And I’m a big boy. I wrapped up the other half (did I mention this thing comes in halves?) and placed it in the refrigerator to save for later. I have to say I didn’t taste the mayo as much as I did the spicy mustard and onions, but the Swiss cheese taste was obvious from the first bite. I’m a big cheese fan. Pepperjack is the best. And cheddar. And American. (Well, you get my drift).
I have to say, I’ve never been a big fan of Arby’s curly fries. I wish they’d bring back the plain ones. But, for a side order, the fries are what you get and they’re tasty in their own unique way.
So give Arby’s Market Fresh sandwiches a whirl when you have a $20 bill you want to break.

Look. The Market Fresh sandwiches are a great way to add fiber to your diet. However, if you’re not feeling ‘Fresh,’ Arby’s is known for its roast beef, after all. There’s a plenty of meals to choose from. We also like the roasted chicken sandwich. For an inexpensive lunch, check out the meal deals.
