Georgiana still winless

After a disappointing loss last week, Georgiana head coach said he’s looking for a better outcome this Friday versus Geneva County.
“It’s a win we definitely need,” said Shawn Gregory. “We just got to correct our mistakes.”
Gregory said he is still waiting to get some tape on next week’s opponent Geneva County, but until then, there is plenty his team needs to work on.
“We are beating ourselves by missing people that are wide open,” Gregory said. “Its not anything that our opponents are doing to beat us.”
Last week, the Panthers were well on their way to defeating Florala, until an errant punt in the second half gave Florala the ball on Georgiana’s 20-yard line. Florala was able to run it in for the victory, 18-20.
“We should have had that one, but we can’t worry about that,” Gregory said.
The next day, however, Gregory said he was impressed when every single player showed up for Saturday workouts on time.
“We are heading in the right direction,” Gregory said. “Once we all get on the same page we should be able to put a W in the W column.” - Austin Nelson
