The Butler County Auburn club wants you to join them as they cheer on the Auburn Tigers Sept. 9.

The tailgate party will be held at Polka Dot Café, formerly the Chef’s Table.

“We try to have a meeting every couple of years, but we have never had one like this before,” said President Pat Autrey. “Its more of a party than a meeting.”

The event will get underway at 5:30 p.m., with barbecue and hot dogs being served before kickoff against Mississippi State at 6:30 p.m. Televisions will be set up for viewing of the game. There will be Air Jumpz and other activities for kids.

“The main thing for people to know is, this isn’t just for Auburn Alumni,” Autrey said. “You don’t have to be an alumni to be a member of the Butler County Auburn club. We are just looking for a big turnout and a couple of big televisions to be able to cheer on the Tigers.”

The cost will be $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12. This cost includes drinks and a meal, with all proceeds going to the Butler County Auburn Club Scholarship Fund.
