There’s still time to put your pet in the spotlight for the coming year. The Butler County Humane Society’s 2011 Pet Photo Calendar Contest continues and calendar chair Annie Crenshaw is looking for your top pix of Fido and Fluffy in her e-mail inbox.
“Our deadline is July 31, but we know how time flies and people get distracted with summer activities. Be sure and send us favorite photos of your dogs, cats, birds, horses and other pets as soon as you can,” said Crenshaw.
The three top photos will appear on the cover of the glossy full-color calendar, with runner-up photos part of the monthly photo collages.
Digital images can be e-mailed directly to Crenshaw at anniecrenshaw@centurytel.net.
The entry fee is $5 per photo with no limit on the number of entries. All proceeds go to the BCHS.
Entry fees should be mailed to: BCHS Pet Calendar Photo Contest, P.O. Box 264, Greenville, AL 36037.
Photo prints and photos on disk should be sent, along with the entry fee, name, address, phone number and e-mail address, to the same P.O. Box.
“If you missed out on having your pet in the calendar last year – and a lot of folks wished they had participated after the fact – then we encourage you, please don’t miss the boat this year,” said Herbert Morton, BCHS president.
“The calendars will make great Christmas gifts and it is a wonderful fundraising tool for our county’s homeless animals.”
