This year’s contestants have begun practice for the 2010 Junior Miss scholarship program.

The event will be held on June 19 at 7 p.m. in the Luverne High School auditorium.

The yearly event gives away around $3,400 in scholarship money.

The theme is “Rain or Shine” and five contestants will be participating, along with eight “little sisters.”

Entertainment will be provided by the Luverne Dance Center and Kelly Cash, Pike County’s 2010 Junior Miss.
